Terms of Service
Effective date: July 25, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
LPB Platform (“the Service”) is an online language-proficiency test-preparation platform operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a company incorporated under the laws of Canada (“PaavanAI”, “we”, “us”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service at lpb.paavanai.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service through a training organisation (“Organisation”), a separate agreement between PaavanAI and that Organisation may also apply; where it conflicts with these Terms, that agreement prevails for the Organisation relationship.
2. The Service — practice tests, not official exams
The Service provides practice (mock) tests modelled on the IELTS and CELPIP examination formats, including automated scoring and feedback. Scores, band estimates and feedback produced by the Service are practice estimates only. They are not official results, are not issued or recognised by any examination body, and do not predict or guarantee any score on a real examination.
IELTS is a registered trademark of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. CELPIP is a registered trademark of Paragon Testing Enterprises. LPB Platform and PaavanAI are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any of these organisations.
3. Automated (AI) scoring
Writing and speaking responses are evaluated by artificial-intelligence systems, including large language models provided by third-party AI providers, and speech-to-text transcription of your spoken responses. AI evaluation is inherently probabilistic: feedback and scores may contain errors and may differ from how a human examiner would assess the same response. Organisations may additionally review AI evaluations with human staff. Details of how your responses are processed are in our Privacy Policy.
4. Accounts and Organisations
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- If you join through an Organisation’s invitation, that Organisation’s administrators can manage your membership, allocate or revoke test credits, set an access-expiry date, view your results, and remove you from the Organisation.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, or have the consent of a parent/guardian or your Organisation acting with such consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to manipulate, deceive or inject instructions into the automated scoring systems (such attempts are detected and flagged for human review);
- share, resell or transfer accounts or test credits without permission;
- copy, scrape, redistribute or commercially exploit exam content, questions or feedback;
- upload unlawful content or content that infringes another person’s rights;
- probe, disrupt or overload the Service, or attempt to access data belonging to other users or Organisations.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Fees and payment
Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, in the currency shown at checkout (CAD or INR). Prices may change with notice effective from your next billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Organisations are responsible for fees for their subscriptions and allocated tests.
7. Your content and our IP
You (or your Organisation) retain ownership of the responses you submit — essays, letters and voice recordings. You grant us a licence to store and process them to operate the Service: scoring, transcription, feedback, progress reporting, and review by your Organisation’s staff. The Service itself — software, design, exam materials authored on the platform, and feedback text — is owned by PaavanAI or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
8. Availability, warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated scores will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaavanAI’s total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you (or your Organisation, in respect of your use) paid to us for the Service in that period, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including examination outcomes, immigration or study decisions, or loss of opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under consumer-protection legislation of your province or country.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. Organisations may schedule deletion of their organisation and its data from their settings (subject to a short grace period during which deletion can be cancelled). We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, liability limits, governing law) survive.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give notice through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the consumer-protection law of your place of residence grants you rights or a forum that cannot be excluded.
